Aaron has spent fifteen years teaching academic writing and building study-skills programmes, first in secondary education and then across an undergraduate writing curriculum. He moved into editorial work because the same handful of misreadings kept costing students marks, and they were all fixable before a single word was drafted.
At EssayCrackers he owns the planning guides: how a brief is broken down, what counts as a deliverable, and how an outline maps onto a marking rubric. He is unusually strict about one thing — a guide has to be specific enough that it could not be pasted onto a different assignment.
He writes across disciplines rather than within one, on the view that assignment literacy is a transferable skill and most students are failed by the instructions rather than the subject.
