A five-page paper examining a healthcare issue from a scientific or mathematical and analytical perspective, built by choosing a Level 1 research question from supplied lists and composing a Level 2 question that narrows it to something answerable.

A short article-anchored paper with four separate tasks, in which almost everything that goes wrong traces back to one phrase — 'as it is presented in your chosen article' — and to picking the article before checking it can answer all four.

Four 130-word answers, each labelled with the competency it is marked on — and Question 2 is about the charts themselves, not about the article's argument.

A five-section critique whose middle sections are pinned to six named parts of the paper — and the proposed changes have to follow from the weaknesses you actually found.

A benchmark is evidence of a competency — so the essay has to show research reaching a decision, not research being described.

The prompt concedes that the theoretical foundations differ, which is an invitation to take that seriously rather than to endorse mixed methods as obviously sensible.

Every question in both studies depends on one prior judgement: did the researcher *manipulate* anything or only *measure*? Get that wrong and the rest of the answers are wrong in a consistent, easily-spotted way.

The columns are the argument — build the chart so you can read down it, and order it so the weakest studies behind your strongest claims are visible.

A three-part submission combining a completed critique template for a quantitative study, a completed critique template for either a qualitative or a mixed methods study on the same health topic, and a two to three page paper contrasting the information gained from the two approaches, describing their general advantages and disadvantages with examples from the articles, and formulating a response to the claim that qualitative research is not real science, all in one Word document with title page, introduction, summary and references.

The link most posts drop is the last one: how a worldview shapes what you count as evidence, which methods feel trustworthy, and which questions you never think to ask.

Alignment is a three-way check, and the opposite-methodology example is what stops the post being an argument that your choice is best in general.

The interesting answer refuses the forced choice: a perception can be a subjective experience and an objective fact about a person at the same time, and pain measurement is where that plays out daily.

Explaining it plainly without losing accuracy is the graded skill, and the classic trap is any explanation that implies a reliable instrument is a good one.

The word in contrast is the instruction. A defence of quantitative method that never says what qualitative would have given you instead has not made an argument.

Identify a practice issue or problem, develop a plan for practice-based research using existing practice data as the focus of inquiry, and develop an examined practice design that includes all elements of the model, in 700 to 850 words.

The prompt names four concepts to work in, and the third variable problem is the one that explains why the comparison matters at all rather than being a technical aside.

Three real examples from the library, and the classification hinges on two features only: whether the researcher manipulated the intervention, and whether assignment to groups was random.

Describe how the research process is used to communicate findings relevant to problems in health care, give an example of using or seeing the research process, and explain how the research approach supports evidence-based practice and guides resolutions that improve care.

Now that your topic, literature review and framework are in place, free write a list of the variables that revolve around and within your study, identify which are of particular interest, and consider whether that list lets you narrow your scope and your research questions.

Management is not analysis. A researcher who cannot find the quote they remember has a filing problem, and no amount of analytical skill fixes it after the fact.
