State the opposing case in its strongest form, not its weakest. A rebuttal to an argument nobody makes is worth nothing, and it is obvious to a marker.

Directly affects you is the constraint most posts ignore. And the third question has real numbers behind it: DDT and mercury took over fifty years from first evidence to global action.

Report a number, not an impression. Then rank your changes by how much of that number each one actually moves, which is where most posts go wrong.
